We have many resources available in the Parent & Teacher section of the Children’s Room, as well as several specialty kits designed with parents and teachers in mind. We also offer many online resources that can be accessed any time at home or at school with your library card number.
- Teacher Book Requests – Wallingford Public School teachers are encouraged to fill out a teacher request form. Our Children’s Librarians will then do their best to have books put aside for you when you visit the public library (allow at least 48 hours for your request).
- Reading Readiness Kits – these cute little kits were designed with the help of Wallingford’s literacy coaches to support emerging readers. They contain a mix of beginning reader books and supplemental items like flashcards, literacy games, and music CDs.
- Nature Corner Backpacks – these backpacks can be checked out with a library card and are filled with everything you need for family hikes or backyard exploration, including binoculars, field guides, local trail maps, bug catchers, and more!
