The Wide World of YA: 2014 Teen Summer Reading Program

Where will you trek this summer?

atlas and globeAll teens in grades 6-12 are welcome to join our reading expedition. No registration is necessary. The program will run from July 1st-August 29th. Each book you read earns you the chance to win a prize of your choice.

This year we're adding something interactive Google Map! When you stop by the Library to fill out your entry form you'll have the opportunity to pin markers on the settings of your books on our interactive Google Map. Throughout the summer you can view the map on our website, Twitter, and Facebook to see where everyone has travelled and what people are reading.

Those who are well read are well travelled! What are you waiting for? Get going on your Summer Reading Trek!!

Read ‘Em and Eat: A Summer Reading Program for Adults 18 Years and Older

Come and get your groceries! All you have to do is read or listen to a book and fill out an entry form to be eligible to win a $25.00 gift certificate to a local grocery store or produce market. Drawings will be held every two weeks beginning July 1st through August 26th. Read ‘Em and Eat aprons and other prizes will be given away at food-themed programs throughout the summer. A $50.00 grand prize gift certificate to one of the participating stores will be awarded at the conclusion of the program.

Each biweekly prize winner will be awarded a “Read 'Em and Eat” apron and a $25 gift certificate to a local grocery or produce/farm stand. The Grand Prize winner will be awarded a $50 gift certificate to the participating store of his/her choice.
