Out in the cold Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Rhode Island, lies the remains of a German submarine, the U-853. It was the last German submarine sunk in World War II and she was sunk with all hands just minutes before World War II ended. Find out more at this special presentation and meet Captain Palmer, a licensed Coast Guard Captain with over three decades of practical experience in New England waters and over twenty eight years of experience diving wrecks along the eastern seaboard.

In addition to being an author and dive instructor specializing in advanced wreck diving, he is an avid historian and underwater videographer. Some of his video credits include CPTV, Discovery Channel, A&E, and Times Mirror. He is well known for his lectures and presentations around the east coast. He is an associate member of the Boston Sea Rovers and a member of the American Society of Oceanographers. Books will be available for purchase and signing at the conclusion of the program.
