Anime Night: Sgt. Frog & Mochi

By Wallingford Pub... - Posted on 05 January 2013

Thursday, January 10th, 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the Community Room

Many might think that anime is just cartoons for small children, but it's actually a fascinating and complex form of storytelling that originated in Japan. Come and find out what all the fuss is about! On January 10th we will be watching Sgt. Frog. In this series a force of alien frogs attempt to conquer Earth (or "Pekopon"), but withdraw, leaving a few of their less impressive warriors behind. We will snack on Mochi, a Japanese confection made from pounded sticky rice with an ice cream filling! Feel free to bring your artwork as well as any anime or manga suggestions. Open to all teens in grades 6-12.

Please register online or by phone at (203)265-6754.
