The Butterfly Project

By Wallingford Pub... - Posted on 11 April 2012

Thursday, April 19th, 3:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m. in the Collins Room

1,500,000 innocent children perished in the Holocaust. In an effort to remember them the Holocaust Museum in Houston is collecting 1.5 million handmade butterflies. The butterflies will eventually comprise an exhibit in the museum for all to remember.

We will be meeting to create butterflies to be a part of the exhibit on April 19th, Holocaust Remembrance Day. All students in grades 4-12 are welcome to attend. If you are unable to come to the workshop but would still like to participate please contact the library for instructions and hand your butterflies in by May 1st.
