I do believe there should be signs hanging on the poles to remind those visiting the library that the library is a quiet place. No hollering across the rooms or sitting together and socializing loudly.

I so do agree and have brought this issue up so many times.
Thinking people just have not been taught that hollering across the room is not acceptable or leaving your child screaming while walking in the adult section. These people need to either be quiet or take their noise outside. Signs in English and Spanish should be posted..... Hooray

The Library's Code of Conduct is posted in several locations throughout the building. Included is "Loud or continuous conversations or those disruptive to others are considered inappropriate behavior." In the future, please bring this situation to the attention of the staff, who will take steps to correct it. Our goal is for the library to be an inviting place for everyone.

Check out our great Teen Section in the northwest corner of the building. Lots of seating options, book displays on many topics: Nutmeg books, manga, graphic novels, inspirational reads, and new books, among others. Also in the Teen Section are 4 computers (more are coming) just for teens. Programs for teens are also available. Just ask at the Information Desk.

I so agree with you!!!!!!!!!!
It seems like it just is not taught.
Although sometimes the staff is just as guilty as visitors
