Poetry Group To Meet at Wallingford and Meriden Public Libraries

The Meriden Poetry Society, the Meriden Public Library, and the Wallingford Public Library are co-sponsoring a series of Saturday morning poetry workshops from 10:00 a.m. to noon, beginning November 1st and continuing through May 2009. Meeting locations and dates are as follows.

Wallingford Public Library will host meetings in the library’s board room the first Saturday of each month: November 1, December 6, January 3, February 7, March 7, April 4, and May 2.

Meriden Public Library will host meetings in the Friends Room on the following dates: November 15, December 20, January 17, April 18, and May 23.

Writing exercises, form and style discussions, and sharing poetry and poetry resources will be the focus of the group. The Meriden Poetry Society’s mission is to encourage all aspiring poets, youth through senior citizens. All meetings are free and open to the public.
