Diana Ross McCain, a historian who lives in Durham, CT and author of It Happened in Connecticut (Globe Pequot Press, 2008)is the featured speaker.

Her book focuses on 25 true tales of famous and not-so-famous people and events, highlighting some surprising facts about our state. Ranging from witchcraft trials to the Wiffle ball, from mass murder for profit to the modern game of football, Ms. McCain's book provides interesting reading for all Nutmeggers. Ms. McCain is a regular contributor to Early American Life, Connecticut Magazine, and the Hartford Courant. She will sign copies of her book after her presentation. A brief business meeting precedes the program at 7:00 p.m. No registration required.
