The Book Seller: The Library's Book Store
The Book Seller is a used book store at the Wallingford Public Library with plenty of space for browsing, and something for everyone. Stock is added every week. The store offers books, DVDs, videos, CDs and other items for very low prices for children, young adults and adults. Look for the entrance under the green awning at the back of the Library. Regular hours are Monday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, 1:00 to 6:00 p.m., Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (The store may close in inclement weather without notice.) All proceeds benefit the Wallingford Public Library Association.
We now have the Wallingford Chorus Cook Book for $10 and the Wallingford Garden Club Cook Book for $15.
Donations to the Book Seller are appreciated. The Book Seller will accept gently used books, CDs, DVDs, books on tape/CD. We DO NOT accept magazines, records, music tapes, VHS tapes, encyclopedias over ten years old, or Readers Digest Condensed Books. Any items that are torn, dirty, written in or have a musty odor will be refused or discarded.
Donations can be brought upstairs to the Information Desk any time the Library is open. Large donations are best handled by the person donating the books calling the Library and arranging for someone to meet them downstairs to open the garage door so they can be brought directly in there by the donor. Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays are the best days for large donations.
Donations can be brought to the store when it is open, and a volunteer will provide a cart and go into the garage and open the door to the outside so the items can be brought into the garage by the donor. Volunteers will not lift heavy boxes.
