Based on the remarkable true story, Secretariat chronicles the spectacular journey of the 1973 Triple Crown winner. Housewife and mother Penny Chenery agrees to take over her ailing father's Virginia-based Meadow Stables, despite her lack of horse-racing knowledge. Against all odds, Chenery--with the help of veteran trainer Lucien Laurin--manages to navigate the male-dominated business, ultimately fostering the first Triple Crown winner in 25 years and what may be the greatest racehorse of all time. Rated PG.
In an effort to further protect your privacy, effective on February 1st, the Wallingford Public Library is now strictly requiring that everyone use their own library cards when checking out materials or accessing library computers. You will still be able to pick up holds for other patrons, provided that they have granted you permission to do so and this permission is noted on your account.
All Wallingford residents are eligible for library cards. Please speak with a circulation staff member at the registration desk if you need to sign up for a card.
The Library is closed today, Thursday, January 27th due to the snow storm. We are not able to have our parking lot plowed in time to open the building. All events scheduled for today are canceled. No fines will be charged.
Due to the snow storm the Library will close at 4:00 p.m. today.

Family stories that are light and full of laughter are a perfect winter’s entertainment.
Children ages 5 and up will love this storyteller’s ability to draw them into her stories with her fabulous characters.
The Fireside Storytelling Series is made possible thanks to a generous donation from Barbara Kennedy Shortell, a longtime library supporter and former Wallingford English teacher.
