Friday, January 7th at 7:00 p.m. in the Children's Program Room
Join Crystal Raiola for this unique storytime featuring some of children’s favorites by author Laura Numeroff, and find out what happens when you give a mouse a cookie or a moose a muffin!
Wallingford residents may sign up by calling the Children's Library at (203)284-6435.
Non-residents are welcome to call the day before to see if there are openings.
The Library will close at 4 p.m. on Friday, December 31st and remain closed on Saturday, January 1st in observance of New Year's. Regular hours resume Monday, January 3rd. Sunday hours begin on January 9th.
The Book Seller will be closed from December 31st through January 2nd.
Due to inclement weather, the Library will open at 1:00 p.m. today.
Wednesday, December 29th at 2:00 p.m. in the Community Room
Chick Kelman will appear at the Library to bring some magic to your holiday vacation. So, put aside those toys and dvds and join us for an afternoon of program of magical tricks that will entertain and amaze!
This drop-in program is FREE for kids of all ages.
Beginning of January 1st, the Library will be smoke free anywhere on library property.
Monday, December 20th at 3:30 p.m. in the Collins Room
Presented in cooperation with the Connecticut Humanities Council, the 4th and final book in the Once Banned, Now Classic series will focus on J. D. Salinger’s classic coming of age novel, The Catcher in the Rye. Beth Levine will moderate the discussion which will include questions about society and censorship, morality, and prevailing standards and attitudes in American Literature.
Teenagers and adults are encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be served. Copies of the books are available from the Information Desk.
