Wallingford Public Library's blog
Saturday, January 31st, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Families of young children are invited to learn about Wallingford’s Preschools, Licensed Childcare Centers, Family Childcare and Town Services available for our preschool population.
Choosing the right setting that offers quality programming, age appropriate instruction and a caring environment is every parent’s goal. Come to the Fair and meet the people who provide them! This is your chance to come to one location and ask all the questions you have about different child care and child education offerings. With the information you gather you will be positioned to make the best choices for your child.
As an added bonus you will be able to learn about the opportunities provided for young children by a variety of Wallingford agencies. No registration required.
Come to the Civic Education Program Thursday, January 22nd at 6:30 p.m.
All citizens should be aware of how the government affects their daily lives. This program by the Connecticut Bar Association is led by a volunteer attorney and is designed in a straight forward discussion format based on current events that relate to every citizen. Real-life scenarios will engage participants. Topics for discussion include eminent domain, government wiretapping, the death penalty, and the right-to-die debate. Sign up online, in person, or by phone at (203)265-6754.
All teens are welcome to Anime Night at the library. Our next gathering will be on Monday, January 12th at 6:00 p.m. Bring your artwork to share! Have you written any manga? Bring that, too! Or just come to hang out and watch Death Note in high-definition surround-sound. Please register in person, online, or by phone at (203)265-6754.
The Library will be closed on Monday, January 19th in observance of Martin Luther King Day. Regular hours resume Tuesday, January 20th.
It's even better in person, so be sure to stop in soon.
Thursday, January 8th, 6:30-8:00 p.m.
