Friday Night Flicks Presents: The Heat

The Heat

Friday October 18th, 6:00 p.m. in the Community Room

Uptight and straight-laced, FBI Special Agent Sarah Ashburn is a methodical investigator with a reputation for excellence - and hyper-arrogance. Shannon Mullins, one of Boston P.D.'s "finest," is foul-mouthed and has a very short fuse, and uses her gut instinct and street smarts to catch the most elusive criminals. Neither has ever had a partner, or a friend for that matter. When these two wildly incompatible law officers join forces to bring down a ruthless drug lord, they become the last thing anyone expected: buddies.

In Concert: Murray & Falkenau

Murray & Falkenau

Wednesday October 23rd, 7:00 p.m. in the Community Room

This tandem has been performing together since 2009, combining Falkenau’s traditional fiddle playing with singer/songwriter/guitarist Ivan Murray’s songs to create a harmonious blend of Irish and American influenced jams. Stringing together stunning arrangements in the style of Chris Thile, The Carolina Chocolate Drops, and others, while delivering insightful lyrics and spot-on performances, this Irish duo won’t disappoint! Their ability to blend the Irish traditions with some rootsy American and well-crafted original compositions has made folks stop and listen. Be sure to be one of them and join us for an evening of musical entertainment straight from Galway City!

Please note seating is limited.
