The holidays can be tough, especially when you are feeling so out of step with the world. Everyone else seems to be beaming, ruddy-cheeked, bursting with holiday spirit. You are feeling wretched and exhausted.

Join Mary Beth Rolan for an informative program and learn how you can cope during the holidays -- and maybe even find some holiday joy too.

Reel Conversations: The Spanish Prisoner

Join us for part three of our film discussion series "Unlikely Partners" with a screening of The Spanish Prisoner. This film was written and directed by David Mamet and stars Steve Martin, Ben Gazzara, and Campbell Scott.

Bring your friends and join Brooks Appelbaum Ph.D to view the film and then talk about it!

This film is rated PG.

Visions of Panama


Wednesday November 20th, 2:00 p.m. in the Community Room

Victoria Navin shares some history of Panama, along with her travel experiences and photographs capturing the colonial architecture, Canal, tropical landscape, diverse population and modern, first-world infrastructure. Victoria is a retired librarian who lives in New Haven and is active in her community, serving on the boards of the Salvation Army and the Community Soup Kitchen, Inc. Her recent travels include Portugal, Thailand, Laos, and Panama.

Thanksgiving Tea

Ages 3-10 (and grown-up guest)

Bring a canned good and give thanks at a special Thanksgiving tea. Dress up is optional; but if you like, come as your favorite Pilgrim, Native American, or turkey!
